Magic

My walk this evening was one of magic.
The setting sun bathed the prairie in gold.
Plumes that spread out to the waters edge shone like sharp glass
With each step my attention was drawn to yet another breath taking view
Wondrous light hinting at an entirely different world beyond...

a sense of Magic drawing me in.

The World Out There

I have always been aware of nature and my surroundings. Growing up on a farm was a good beginning. Out in the open country....I saw the sky, I looked up at it. I imagined many things the clouds formed, the fields and fields of grain and corn.. Spending time with the animals, running through the woods, searching for mushrooms.
My brothers and I had a sandbox, we had ropes hanging from tree limbs. I had a playhouse and many dolls. I cooked pretend meals for the dolls and my brothers from the things growing around the farm....
Sigh, make believe was wonderful.

My mother was an artist. She pointed out the shadows, the light that came between the trees. Look at the fog rising in between the hills is what she would say as we drove down through them into town. I watched her paint worlds on canvas.

I was aware and am aware of everything around me. And I crave to capture it with my camera.
I LOVE the world out there.
