Sounds of the snow fall

Sometimes it is so quiet, I can actually hear the snow fall. And to find a spot to listen among the trees and talking geese on the river is topped off with the perfect place to sit and do just that

Lovely Winter

Winter. First impressions are cold, snow and 'can't wait till spring'. Me? I like it. I love the snow. I love how there is less chaos. No gardens to plant, no yards to manicure. No vacations to take, bikes to ride....just like nature it is a time to rest. And through my eyes, I love the textures and the shades of a neutral color palette. The shadows on the snow, the tiny flakes piled on seed heads, a leaf still clinging on a branch. I really do love winter

Early Winter Magic

Such a joy when spring arrived. A delight when the warmth of summer and the glory in my garden graced me. Autumn had such breath taking moments, I will never forget. Now there are hints of the winter to come. Starting out with little twinkles of magic in the early morning.

Bird song

Spring is here.A bud on some bushes, green blades poking up out of the mud along the river banks. And the birds are starting their songs again.

Spring eagles

It is SPRING! At least that is what the calendar claims. It has been in the upper 20's the last couple of mornings and tomorrow boasts of freezing rain.
No matter, soon, very soon there will be more evidence of the season all around. I gladly settle for the migrating eagles at the lakes and rivers for now.
